It doesn’t take much before a smart buck busts from cover, and sadly, this is the last thing you see as they disappear.
This time of year we’re catching most of the bucks moving through the creek bottoms after the heat of the day starts to wane. They aren’t straying far from water and the thick, cool grass growing there.
We’ve spotted another large bachelor group of mature bucks that are sticking tight to the thick wooded cover at the top of the ridge. They are much harder to get in close enough for pictures…but we’re working on it!
